Allan's father died in 2021 and his mother has worked hard to generate income to provide for her family's basic needs. However, earlier this year, she took a job working for a wealthy villager and left Allan and his sister, Flavia, alone at their home. Allan and Flavia are left to fend for themselves.
 
Having the opportunity to attend school would change Allan's life and allow him to pursue becoming a doctor someday.
