Prisca Akullu is an 11-year-old girl and the only child in her family. A series of
complex transitions have marked her life. After her birth, Prisca’s mother left her in
the care of her father, who raised her until his passing six years ago. Following his
death, Prisca’s paternal grandmother stepped in to care for her, providing love and
stability despite limited resources.
Sadly, in March 2025, Prisca’s grandmother also passed away. Since then, Prisca
has been living with her uncle, her late father’s brother, who is doing his best to
support her alongside his own children. However, his finances are strained, and he
struggles to meet the educational needs of all the children under his care.
As a result, Prisca has been in and out of school due to unpaid fees. Her education
has been disrupted, and she now faces the risk of falling behind academically. Since
the grandmother’s death, no one has been able to pay for Prisca’s school fees
consistently.
