Ruth is the youngest child in a family of six. Her father passed away in 2021 due to hypertension, leaving the mother as the sole caregiver. For several years, Ruth and her siblings lived with their mother, who worked to sustain the household. However, in 2025, the mother was diagnosed with cancer in her leg, a condition that rendered her unable to continue working and providing for the children.
 
Following this development, Ruth was taken in by her maternal aunt, who enrolled her at Orem Lutheran Nursery and Primary School. While the aunt has shown commitment to Ruth’s care, she is a peasant farmer with limited income and already has two children of her own to support. As a result, she is financially unable to consistently meet Ruth’s school fees and other educational needs.
