Scott Williams
Scott and his wife, Lindsay and their two children live in St. Charles, Missouri. Scott has a degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Missouri and has been moved by the joy and hospitality during his visits to Uganda. He helped found Connect to Uganda so that he could share that experience with as many people as possible. He hopes to share the grace, love and blessings God has given him with others as he works through C2U.

Jen Ritter
Jennifer and her husband, Jason, have both been to Uganda multiple times. They have three sons and they all enjoy boating and basketball. She is a sales manager in the medical device industry and volunteers as the Mission Coordinator at her church. She believes her work in Uganda is a calling from God and is inspired to share His love with the people of Uganda by working with C2U. She values the relationships that have been built over the years and knows there is still much work to be done.
Board Vice Chairman
Pastor Dan Schneider
Pastor Dan and his wife, Jeri, have four grown children and have served in ministry for 40 years. His sizeable resume of serving on various boards and numerous volunteer capacities will serve C2U well as he seeks to connect his love of God’s word and working with people together through ministry. Pastor Dan has worked in Uganda for many years and, post-retirement later this year, he hopes to continue to serve there through C2U.
Joe and his wife, Jennifer, live in Kirkwood with their two daughters. A proud Mizzou alum, Joe is the Vice President - Operations & Controller for Pace Properties, Inc. and a CPA. He has heard stories and examples of what God is doing in Uganda from friends who have been working there for years and is inspired by their experiences. He is eager to share his skills and experience to further the mission in Uganda through C2U.
Joe Beaudean
Brian Smith
Brian lives in San Diego, California and has an extensive background in the world of Sales and Marketing. Did you see him on an episode or two of The Real Housewives of Orange County? Brian brings his desire to help people realize their full potential to the C2U Board of Directors. He has embraced the fact that most people in Uganda want to help themselves but simply don’t have the means to do so.
Madeline Klene
Madeline and her husband, Evan, live in Manchester, Missouri. She is the development director for Five Acres Animal Shelter, the only no-kill shelter in St. Charles county. She is vested in C2U’s mission and values and believes true change will happen because of a healthy relationship with the Lutheran Church of Uganda.
Mavis JoRay
Mavis and her husband, John, live in Lousiburg, Kansas where she teaches CPR and runs her own photography/design business. They have five adult children and 2 grandchildren. She is an LPN with degrees in Biblical Counseling and Intercultural Studies. She has fond memories of her last trip to Uganda during the pandemic where God's provision so evident as they served in a powerful way under lockdown conditions. Mavis is looking forward to finding ways that she can best serve the people of Uganda through C2U.

Julie Stroder
Julie has worked with the Lutheran Church of Uganda since 2005 and believes her time as the MIssions Coordinator at Messiah Lutheran Church and Hearts & Hope prepared her for helping to start Connect to Uganda. She and her husband, Mark, have three adult children and she loves photography, watching the Cardinals and the Chiefs, and all things Uganda.
Executive Director
Betty Tamugwaniza
Betty has joined the C2U Staff in Uganda to help administrate the Far Away friends program. She is from the village of Nakabango and is the youngest of seven children. Her parents still live in Nakabango. She likes making friends, learning new things, cooking, traveling and volunteering.
Far Away Friends Administrator
Fosca is the C2U Administrator in Uganda. He has a strong background in social work and has worked for several NGO's in Uganda. He specializes in work that focuses on marginalized groups of people. He has a strong passion for music and enjoys playing bass guitar with several bands in Uganda. He also teaches music at the Lutheran Theological College. He has one young son.
