It was an honor!

The following are some thoughts from Holly, a July 2025 team member, who joined C2U for her first visit to Uganda:

I was continually impressed by the warmth and the joy of the people in Uganda. I felt honored to be part of their celebrations. Whether it was celebrating their village, the dedication of the borehole well, the graduation of the tailoring group and the women raising chickens…. I just loved that they celebrated everything! 


I also found it very touching when I was sitting in the front seat by the bus driver. If I waved to somebody they acted like I had given them $1 million - so excited! It touched me so deeply.


I felt honored to be able to participate in this trip. And honored to spend time with the people of Uganda.

Christmas Meal

Kids in Bubago had a meal that included rice, meat - and a soda! All three are treats they rarely enjoy so it was truly a special day. A Christmas cake and lots of music were also part of the celebrat
