PLE Test Scores

Primary schools in Uganda use a standardized test, called the Primary Leaving Exam, to determine the quality of education received by students and their readiness for secondary school.

The scoring is done by aggregates:

Aggregate Range Grade Meaning

4 – 12 Grade 1 Excellent performance

13 – 23 Grade 2 Very good performance

24 – 29 Grade 3 Fair performance

30 – 34 Grade 4 Poor performance

35 – 36 Grade U Ungraded (fail)

This past year was the first time Bubago Lutheran Nursery & Primary School had a Primary 7 class - and the first year students sat for the PLE. Scores were announced yesterday and we are so proud to share that all 18 students scored in the 13-23 Aggregate Range for a Grade 2. This is an awesome accomplishment for the kids and for the school!

Charles is part of the Need-Based Scholarship program in Bubago. Congratulations to him and the 17 other P7 students!
